The Rolwaling trip started well, like an army precision movement, and….then it snowed!! Despite this, the show went on!! Dawa and his jovial crew simply changed the itinerary, much to the amazement of the other trekkers. We had a marvelous time on a nearby trek while the other trekkers watched as the snow fell!! Relocated to another area and free of snow that created disastrous effects throughout Nepal, we simply kept walking, taking photos and banking memories of landscapes and people including our loyal guide and porter. It was our first time trekking in Nepal and Dawa at Dream Himalaya gave us a fantastic experience. All the arrangements went extremely well and communication before and during the trip were excellent. The Nar Phu trek was beautiful and sufficiently challenging and our guide (Dorjee) and sherpa (Phurba) were great fun and always ensured that we were well fed and organised. A change in the weather meant that we had to rearrange the ending of our trek and this was done very well and to our satisfaction.

We had an excellent time on our Tsum/Manaslu trek. There were two of us, with Pasang as guide and Phurba as porter. They were efficient, great company, and happy travel companions. After a delayed start due to a big snow dump and rainstorm, our trek went smoothly, staying in good clean tea houses with copious quantities of hearty food to sustain us. Dawa organised all the logistics, from meeting us at the airport, hotels, jeep rides, guide and porter, internal flights, tea house bookings, Kathmandu tour, and a cultural dinner. This is the fourth time I have had Dream Himalaya Adventures look after logistics on a trek and I won’t hesitate to call Dawa again the next time.

This was a trip I had been really keen to do for over 40 years when I last came to Nepal and did a short trek then. It was everything that I had been hoping for: stunning views of the Himalayas, an almost tangible spirituality about the whole journey, wonderful flowers especially in the rhododendron forests and a glimpse of a fascinating culture, very different to the West.I had a wonderful guide, Pasang and porter, Pemba. I was a bit apprehensive about my fitness but Pasang paced me well an made sure we did enough acclimatisation walking, so I was comfortably able to reach and enjoy the Manaslu Base Camp and Larke La pass. Pemba certainly helped – always offering to carry more if I looked tired and singing to raise our spirits. Pasang was also invaluable too in that he seemed to know everybody and everywhere to visit and could always find someone to open a locked door.Dawa Sherpa, the owner of Dream Himalaya Adventures, was really helpful when we were planning the trip with lots of practical advice and help when some of my luggage was lost on the flight to Nepal and the logistics were faultless. I can easily see why so many people go back to him to organise their next trek or climb.

Dream Himalaya Adventures provided us the best mother / daughter trip that we could experience. We could not have chosen a better agency for our trek to Langtang and Helambu area. Dawa was very helpful from the first email contact. He did not only organize the trek but also the airport pick-up, city tour and all preparations needed with our guide Tendi. Tendi was the best guide that we could wish for. He was not only funny and entertaining and also gave us a glimpse into his culture and his life in Nepal as a professional mountaineer. He really cared about our health and well being during day and night which was very important for our mothers. My fiancee and I did the 3 Passes Trek with Dream Himalaya Adventures over Oct – Nov 17 on the recommendation from a friend who has spent a fair bit of time climbing and trekking in Nepal. We had an amazing trip and couldn’t recommend them more highly. Dawa was extremely responsive and helpful with all of our questions leading up to the trip. When we had to change dates leading up to the trip, and then change the itinerary during the trek thanks to a bit of altitude sickness, nothing was a hassle and Dream Himalaya were amazing with how they accommodated the changes. Accommodation was top notch, our guide and porter were fantastic, logistics in both KTM and on the trek were flawless. I would have no hesitation encouraging anyone planning a to the region to go with Dream Himalaya.

Unfortunately we were unlucky with the weather due to crazy amounts of snow and avalanche risk and weren’t able to summit but I had a great adventure thanks to Dream Himalaya. Dawa Sherpa and Tendi Sherpa did everything in their power to help our expedition succeed. Dawa Sherpa runs a fantastic company and I would highly recommend his services for any adventure from climbing to trekking in Nepal. He happily answered all my questions in advance of the trip promptly and thoroughly. Tendi Sherpa is an excellent certified mountain guide (IFMGA) which is strong, communicates well and is a pleasure to climb with. All the services provided were fantastic. Base camp was amazing. Comfortable single person tall tents (can fit 3 people) with tons of space and comfortable mattresses. Food at base camp was fantastic and the base camp staff were always willing to help. The only tips I would share are that the weather forecasts weren’t very accurate and we didn’t get them frequently so that is a challenge and I learned that they can’t really be used as planning tools. Take any chances you can to climb high and evaluate the situation as you go. In addition, I might wear a mask on future climbs to prevent any infections as it is so easy to get sick at altitude and so hard to fully recover.

Dawa, and Pasang Sherpa are brilliant. Had a great time climbing Ama Dablam in Fall 2025. Pasang is a beast, and Dawa is great at pulling the strings behind the scenes. Would highly recommend!

This is our 4th trek with Dawa’s team. I would give 10 stars out of 5 if I could. The organisation was meticulous, we had the best guide in Karma and the best porter in Cansa. They made sure we had a very enjoyable trek, ran around after us to make sure we had enough to eat and drink, made changes to the trek so we could do side trips that we wanted, carried all our gear and were always cheerful. The trip was fantastic.

Nepal professional alpinism without worries

On a professional high-end alpinistic expedition, dream Himalaya took care of everything and enabled us to solely focus on the climbing. Everything went smoothly, all the problems were solved by the agency in no time and the stuff was really nice. Dawa Sherpa gave as a good discount on top of the already manageable admission fee. Over the one month stay in Nepal, we enjoyed a warming atmosphere created by the agency personnel. The agency has a personal touch, they adapt to your personal needs and make syou feel welcomed and special – unlike other, more comercial agencies. I was completely satisfied with the service and I will definetly hire the agency again.

Three week trek to Tsum Valley and Manaslu circuit plus a couple of days in Katmandu and Pokhara either end. I came to this provider via my NZ friend who was my companion on the trip. He and other friends had used them maybe a dozen times before. Excellent experience , pre trip information and planning and from start to finish, pickup at airport to drop off. Only souvenirs, beer and hot showers not covered in the fee. The guide Pasang and porter Phurbar who came with us both had good language skills, knowledge and excellent humour. There being only us two clients made the whole trip bespoke and flexible. The tearoom accommodation was good, twin room usually with toilet,food pretty standard at all sites. Where disruptions in weather caused change of plans Dawa (the boss) was easily contacted and always available to keep things going smoothly. It was a beautiful area, culturally interesting and challenging enough to make getting there hold a sense of achievement and free of preoccupations. Flora lower down bamboo, pine and rhododendron forest with sparse juniper scrub and the odd gentian. Fauna of lizards, only one snake, plenty of cicadas langur and macaque, snowcock, griffon vulture and blue sheep. The Buddhist devotional atmosphere striking. May it endure and prosper for the benefit of all sentient beings. I can’t recommend it highly enough and without any hesitation, a good team!

A trek up the Tsum Valley and the Manaslu circuit.

We had an excellent time on our Tsum/Manaslu trek. There were two of us, with Pasang as guide and Phurba as porter. They were efficient, great company, and happy travel companions. After a delayed start due to a big snow dump and rainstorm, our trek went smoothly, staying in good clean tea houses with copious quantities of hearty food to sustain us. Dawa organised all the logistics, from meeting us at the airport, hotels, jeep rides, guide and porter, internal flights, tea house bookings, Kathmandu tour, and a cultural dinner. This is the fourth time I have had Dream Himalaya Adventures look after logistics on a trek and I won’t hesitate to call Dawa again the next time.

Amazing Everest Base Camp Trek

Had an amazing time with Dream Himalayan Adventures. Despite such short notice, they were able to organise an EBC trek and assigned a very capable and competent local guide who happens to be an excellent photographer.
